Where Have All The Photos Gone?

I ready to lose it, Berline!

I spent 8 hours ~ that's EIGHT HOURS ~ today looking through my photos for pics to help the theatre group celebrate their 20 year anniversary with a power point presentation. 8 hours, & most of what I found was nothing.

What? What's that you say? Nothing?

Yes. Nothing. I am missing scads of photos. Entire years are gone. Not just theatre photos, but others as well. Some may have been lost in the move to the new computer, but others... pre-digital camera? I have no clue.

Where have they gone?

Boys & Girls, I am aware that this problem could possibly been avoided if I had actually done something with my photos in the last, um, 20 years. Yes. I know. Since my graduation. Possibly just throwing the envelopes of developed photos in a cardboard box wasn't the best storage option on my part. I admit it.

But seriously? Seriously. Where the FACK did my photos go?!?

Mine are in a plastic tub in the basement, waiting for the sump pump to die out so they can drown. Note to self, find a better spot for storage.

It's the 20th show this year.

They are collecting photos from all the shows to celebrate.

You are on their list to call, so get ready! They'll be asking you for photos, too.

aw jeeez. I have been known to give lectures to people about making backups of their digital stuff... but losing pre-digital photos without having a digital back up of them.... ouch. (I don't have a digital back up of my "real" photos, either. I should add that to my list of things to do, which I ignore anyway...)

In the words of a famous former Saskatchewanite: you don't know what you got til it's gone.

I'm feeling your pain, Wilma. I hope you find them.
