Top 6 Favorite Flintstones Episodes

Bedrock ~ what a crazy town! So much happened to the Rubbles and the Flintstones, it's really hard to choose. But choose I must. So here goes:

6. The Swimming Pool ~ Fred and Barney build a joint swimming pool across their backyards, and Fred gets mad when Barney hogs it. Great feud!
5. The Drive-In ~ Fred and Barney buy a drive-in and get in trouble with the girls when two car-hops come to the house to "audition" for jobs.
Burger on a Bun (The Car Hop Song)
Here we come on the run, With a burger on a bun,
And a dab of coleslaw on the side.
Your lips we will tickle, With a great dill pickle,
And all of our potatoes are french fried, fried, fried,
Our burgers can't be beat,'Cause we grind our own meat,
Grind, grind, grind, grind, grind,
When you drive away,You'll really hear us say,
We bid you bye, bye, bye, bye, bye,We bid you bye, bye, bye, bye, bye!
(or)
When you drive away,A tip upon our tray
We hope to find, find, find, find, find
We hope to find, find, find, find, find.
4. The Hot Piano ~ Fred buys a Stoneway from a guy in a back alley as a present for Wilma. We meet 88 Fingers Louie.
3. Swedish Visitors ~ Wilma rents out rooms to Ole, Ingmar & Sven to recoup money she spent on a fur wrap
"Ay, Ay, Ay Wilma" great song.
2. Ten Little Flintstones ~ Chaos reigns supreme when ten androids from another planet--all whom are dead-ringers for Fred--land in Bedrock causing havoc in an attempt to conquer the earth.
1. The Long, Long Weekend ~ Friend Gus Gravel invites the Flintstones and the Rubbles to his seaside hotel for an all-expense-paid vacation. But upon arriving, the four find that the hotel's planned "activities" seem more like work. Betty and Wilma sell "Cigars, Cigarettes" while in cocktail waitress outfits.

Honorable Mentions:
- Old Lady Betty
- The Happy Household
("Make your hobby, hubby
Keep your hubby happy
When he's a little chubby
He's the happy pappy
With Rockenschpeel")
- Ann Margrock Presents ("I ain't gonna be your fool no more")
- Monster Fred ("Don't do it, Len. Think of the wife and kids, Len!")
- Any episode with Mrs. Slaghoople (Wilma's mother) in it.

Okay, after reading your blog today I have had the Burger song in my head all day and I can't knock it.

Flinstones--what a classic. I don't think I could limit it to 6--they are all grand.

Have a good time in Hawaii

I just wanted to make a croeection, in case folks were searching for the "Cigars, Cigarettes" episode, as I had. The correct sow was actually #113 titled "Bachelor Daze", which first aired on March 5, 1964. It is NOT "The Long, Long Weekend".
Thanks for the memories. Even better, Wilma's mother, Mrs. Slaghoople, is in "Bachelor Daze"!
